OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Coleman Oil Safety Manager will work to ensure the compliance of health and safety laws in the workplace. They will work to ensure a safety work environment and minimize hazards to protect employees from occupational risks. The Coleman Oil Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing safety plans, enforcing policies, evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines. This person will conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans and manages the general health, safety and loss control policies and procedures of the organization.
• Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with governmental regulatory agencies.
• Designs and directs safety training programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards.
• Develops worker plans and policies for new employee safety orientation including skill training, emergency preparedness, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment.
• Studies, identifies, and reports causes of past accidents and develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrences.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior Safety Manager experience or equivalent education preferred
• Industrial work environment experience preferred
• Petrochemical experience preferred
• Understanding of legal and safety guidelines.
• Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
• Good knowledge of data analysis.
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail to identify hazards.
• Flexibility to work-from-home.

COMPENSATION:

Salary Range:$70,000 to $80,000 DOE

401(k) - Full time and part time employees are eligible to enroll in the company 401(k) plan following a predetermined amount of time. This option comes with a company match of up to 4%.

Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Other – Employees may be eligible for an annual bonus.
